The beginning

Here it is, my first post of my "real" blog. Got a big dog at my feet and a pot of beef stew on the stove. Went running in the 19 degree air; it wasn't too bad. I think I might survive this winter... this winter which has barely begun. The switch from daylight savings time didn't hit me too hard this year; I'm not sure why. The fact that this is the first day that has felt genuinely cold probably helps.
